Mental Health Update

Good Afternoon Everyone!

We want you to know we are still here! You can't come see us but you can lounge on your own couch or chair at home during your counseling session through telehealth. We are entering our forth week in providing 100% telehealth services to our clients. Let's just acknowledge that this was a quick transition for all of us. In some areas this transition was smooth and in some it has been a bit bumpy. Here is some clarification on FAQ's:

1. What platform are you using?

~ We use Telehealth by Simple Practice (HIPAA compliant). Just like a face-to-face appointment, your Telehealth visit will be private and confidential.

2. Does insurance cover telehealth?

~ We have found that many insurance companies are working to accommodate due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19. However, all insurance companies and policies are different and it is important you to communicate with your insurance company to clarify what these changes mean for you.

3. How does telehealth work?

~ If you are using a computer or laptop, nothing additional is required. If you are using your phone, you will need to download the FREE app called Telehealth by Simple Practice. About 10 minutes prior to your session you will get a text/email with a link. Click on the link at your appointment time and your therapist's face will appear. Our session begins - it's that easy!

We understand that telehealth is not ideal for many. However, this is currently the safest way for us to continue to offer mental health services to you. Thank you for your patience and have a wonderful week!
